Hays Creek Estuary/ --- Puccinellia Association

The Turf grass association (B)  is intertidally above Vaucheria (A).
Again this is a tightly interwoven fabric of roots just below the surface. Suspect clumps al genetically same individual.

This grass is widespread and appears to be stabilizing the mud surface. The genus is a guess, the species (P. nutkaensis) based on ligule's shape and Pojar & MacKinnon's description,

Puccinellia nutkaensis(?) see Plants Coastal BC p 281

Uniseriate green algae (Rhizoclonium? Chaetomorpha? both?) are entangled and held by grass blades on mud surface--- Will be treated later date.
