Why do the Gulls nest so late? This sequence shot in late June.

	Males tries new bedding out for comfort (left) All this is accompanied with elaborate bowing and ‘discussions’ between the two gulls – terminated when male goes for another mouthful of algae. Occasionally copulation preceded by collecting algae and presentation to female(?).
