According to Complete Birder the greater can be separated easily when side by side base upon size alone – but when alone >difficult. Some use curvature beak, but Connor says proportion of beak length to head width more reliable

Breeding locally?

BC Birds vol 2 notes Green (1923) on Porcher Island and Reimchen (1987) on Banks Island saw juveniles that they interpreted as being locally hatched. Records were not accepted. Needs phots and which species of yellowlegs
