Sitka Periwinkle (L. sitkana) uses these upper tidal pools to put its egg cases in

– By chance I looked on a day when the young were emerging – thousands of them

– but hard to photograph as below the water surface ---

Checked pools on South Island and found no young

	Easier to photo when on margins of pool

Where’s the food?? Food!! Give me food.	By next day most are leaving the pool
