Tries to ‘haul out’ with seal pups – but rejected and can’t pull self ashore

Maybe its his toiletry – goes over and grooms itself ‘in a sulk’

Eventually leaves – rejected

A couple years ago ‘everyone’ was in awe of a sea otter – now it is old hat that even the pups can’t be bothered

Unimpressed

The adults don’t even look at the otter 

I'll make videofile  of these attempts later

 Yearlings or new born??

I thought the smallest ones  were this years; but literature says not born here until June -- implications even smallest are yearlings
