Where are all the Limpets?

On Sunny south side

Colony went south for winter

At first I saw only a few; as right; but soon I was seeing hundreds as I looked around closer

These were definitely all one species: short, squat = Littorina sitkana

 

 

Wasn’t expecting them over here – but ‘migrating’ to the sunniest side of island makes sense

 

Time to make offspring as season moves toward ‘abundance’ in upper intertidal
