Explanations?? Looks like
we are into a different regime here. Nothing
much in Hecate on 25th in the areas that clear enough for
satellite to see. On
26th Aqua & Terra satellites ‘story’ differ—nice image on 27th
--- which I interpret as what expect from upwelling and strong NW winds |

Regime Change in Hecate??? Over to Upwelling?
If
6/27 were only available image Would
expect caused by upwelling from strong NW winds |

Note how differ in interpretation |

Has the
Thermocline set up by late June |
Hypothesizing

|
Here is a teaching
graphic to illustrate the seasonal succession from mixing to stratified
water column – latter is presupposed for upwelling—See undergrad text |

I have used
winds at PR airport |
|
If
we leave out the anomalous Terra satellite image from 26th --- then
story emerges – stronger west to NW winds (behind a period of rain on 24th?
--- leads to a short plankton bloom in Hecate mainly on East side |

No
satellite available – a patch on 24th shows some active ‘bloom
areas’ === do LG |
