May be con-specific with Asian Species

Taxonomists are always changing their minds (or finding new evidence). This image shows several of the characters Hyndman uses to distinguish from Siberian Long toed Stint (Calidris subminuta (Middendorff) – including the ‘supercilium’ and lore (both prominent); plus the wide band of “breast streaking’

 

 

Note the ‘broad white wing bar’ which again helps distinguish from similar Siberian Long toed Stint
