Elderberry Blooming
|
|
Elderberry
(Sambucus) heralds the ‘white flowers’ blooming season --- little late this
year – in 2005 peaked 1st
week May
|
|
No one will
see it here |
Or here |
Only in
Rupert? |
|
Fellows on left
were paving a driveway – took the grass etc and stashed it in a neighbouring
empty lot But then seems
everyone does it – a fellow mowing his lawn put the clippings in dumpster
across the street – and another couple put theirs in vacant lot next door –
all that seen within 5 minute walk to downtown |
||
Suggestion? |
On one hand
probably ‘greener’ to stuff clippings in vacant lot than drive it out to land
fill |

City
property = Citizen’s property |
|
This
fellow uses City sidewalk for his business – Even if we overlook the Bylaws
making this illegal – still due diligence by City should make sure this guy’s
business insurance policy covers him when using sidewalk – otherwise the City
will have to accept full liability if there ever were court case --- but hey
its Rupert |
|
|
Only in
Rupert III |
|
Sure
the place is run down – but three windows in one suite broken out? And
there appeared to be someone living in the suite ---- |
Mysteries |
Was Doug Jay ‘suspended’?
|
|
I
am working on this file – if suspended who did so? Council seemed unaware of
why Pond found it ‘premature’ and thus took from agenda recommendation that
Mr. Jay be the chief electoral officer at next municipal election Perhaps
Gordon Howie’s wife wanted the ‘contract’ --- but who does she report to? – I
suspect the Mayor (and Council?) (see
my earlier where Election officer
appointment item from agenda pkg --- the item found ‘premature’ by Pond) |
