‘Watching Arctic freeze over’ – there I used October 20th and Nov
11th (latter copied here) --- Last year sea ice had not even
reached Wrangell Island (pink arrow 2008 and red 2007) Plus Norton Sound (red
arrow ’08) frozen already And
from 2006 (November). Then December ‘06 And
‘Traces Seen of winter 2004 |

when compare series see that 2008 freezing over faster than any year but
2004—which was colder (ice sheet continuous except for area south of Victoria
Island (pink arrow on 2008) |
