Sorbus belongs to the Rosaceae family as does
Thimbleberry etc The trees are derived
from European ornamentals but go ‘wild’ around here quickly Probably the
native spp are present as shrubs around town at same time if looked for them This site looked
at Mtn Ash in 1999
and came to same conclusion |
