Plankton bloom over?

Clouds hide Hecate

Looks like still ‘active’ but not as bright as earlier (area 1)

Here I show Plankton bloom in late june

Then the SST anomalies

Then the actual temperature off CA- to BC

Links to previous ‘bloom’ pages end of this file

Plankton blooming

Note the upwelling and how it intensifies (July 1st) off California (3)

Presumably upwelling is source of nutrients – for 2 & 3

These are the anomalies in SST --- off Northern BC it has been cooler than normal for past month – but on 28th ‘warming up’ – we’ll see if this lasts

(see Averaged SSTs for May from 2000-2007 page )

2007 has been a cool year

We will see if remained of summer remains cool or if heats up --- much like WA and OR coast have been over past month
