Blooms again

Couple of sunny days

 

 

Using the ‘Level 3’ Site appears to show the bloom strengthening in Hecate when August 2-4th compared with August 3-5th

 

 

Using the MODIS sensor site (image left) is more finicky and presents useable images only every few days

Compare image left (1) with the image below ---

 

WCVI & Puget Sound (2) have been in full bloom for last few weeks --- though northern end more similar (now) to Hecate

 

Upwelling (3) seen in both the plankton bloom and the SST temperature image
