Aruncus dioicus --- Goatsbeard

Springing from an over-wintering rootstock, this beautiful June flower graces many cliffs and abandoned places in Prince Rupert.

Its spectacular beauty almost shames many planted gardens found near by.

 

 

 

Usually male and female flowers on separate plants

 

The showier males are sought after in gardens

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After about a week even the males begin to fade and turn reddish
