Rockfish in Trouble

The DFO has closed some areas to fishing in attempt to stem the decline. While not as drastic as to south (Puget Sound but especially off California where huge areas off limits

Are these areas enuf? Do some rockfish travel widely or are they mostly reef fish that stay at home al their lives? Dundas areas seem to be where commercial guys could get out of weather in winter and still catch fish thus rapidly depleted
