Still, there is a positive note: during recessions the industries often restructure, so one can begin to see what the economy will look like over the next decade.
Thus Interfor, West Fraser, CanFor were largely the products of the last recession. With that in mind watch Mac Blo, TimberWest, even the old Fletcher Challenge pulp mills to see which direction emerges.
