One PerspectiveSeen through
viewpoint of clashing ‘jurisdictions’/ geographies For moment
accept Mr Edgar’s as hereditary chief Haida And for the
moment accept SQCRD represents ‘white government’ (Neo-colonialism??)
The latter
requires former to conform to its zoning regulations |

Present Zoning of area around
Naden Harbour |
|
The
province will not accept Kung’s Lodge application
to build commercial wharf until SQCRD accepts --- SQCRD can not accept
until there is a ‘rezoning’ process (and see
the map which fits nicely in his ‘making spaces’ view point) At
left is present zoning --- Husby logging at SW end of Naden RS-1 and I-I; a
site labelled on this map M-2 (= M-1 as no
M-2 in by-law); Another site labelled I-I (industrial) Note
the Kung Reserve area is presently zoned RS-I --- which may be log storage |

Naden
Harbour- DL55 Queen Charlotte
Lodge |
|
This
Lodge does not appear to be zoned anything – though since date from early 1990s
might be legally grandfathered into ‘zoning bylaw’
(Zoning
maps seen/ imaged thanks to SQCRD) |

Not
zoned???; The Peregrine lodge
(DL 91)looks approximately where M-2 is on map left --- I’ll confirm Friday |

Float Lodges

Samson Lodge has been around
since 1990s also and perhaps does not require zoning as not on land |
