Let the Public Speak

Hey this was a fun council meeting.
First Charlotte Rowse lectured everyone on merits of real vs plastic flowers

Then a large group of Citizens vented their dismay that City would change lines on their street without consultation: a public safety issue—that filled council chambers for meeting.

Jousting with windmills?

Michael Burns spoke for Uniterre about their proposed wind mill generation site in Hecate Straits and the jobs that it could mean for PR.

Fellow Board of Directors Senator Jack Austin and CEO Michael H. Altman were also present (as winds too strong in Hecate to make their scheduled connection to QCIs

See this sites Uniterre Page where question if this is just another stock promotion.

Even RCMP Inspector got joked with

Paddy Greene who seems to actually read the material he is given before Council meetings joked with the fire chief how intrepid he was for failing the RCMP building in a fire inspection

A new Watchdog committee for Hospitals and Health Care in PR

One of those very good ideas that local people come up with. Tony Briglio, along with Councillor Kennedy laid the formal groundworks for the volunteer organization (more about this later)

Bedard and Stephens

Stephens surprised asking Uniterre about possibilities that win mill gears might leak oil into Hecate

(Almost gearless and oil changed every 2 years = Canola oil)

“It’s about time we have this debate”

Bedard was referring to the ongoing Basso re-zoning which is championed by several members in Council and opposed now by Bedard and Greene, Rudolph wanted to ridicule the concept of a covenant put on Basso Proerty but Bedard ignited a blazing retort back.

Council Expenses

Bill Smith shown some light on why some are so small this year. The whole Skeena Cel affair has not been included in this years expenses (because??) Good news is that City Taxpayerss’ will be getting 200T$ re-imbursed from NW Timber to offset those expenses
