In Rupert Tuesday --- the showers finally cleared – and the promised ‘clearing’ arrived

Image to left is CB (cumulio-nimbus cloud) with shower below

Above picture- the sun (in the west) is trying to clear the sky – highlighting some of the downtown buildings

Oh ya, the meeting

While outside the horns were honking after the Vancouver hockey win– inside we had a replay of the Shames Mountain presentation – probably most ‘viewers’ missed this too – last time it was a power outage, this time a hockey game

Dan Rodin does most of the presentations

First the Five Year Plan – and public comment --- See below

Then the  Financial Audit – which led to some interesting back and forth between Councillors more interestingly the 2010 – more later

Jason Scherr

Recently elected President of the PR Chamber of Commerce Mr Scherr spoke against any tax increase --- I asked several questions too – which I will go into later --- but main info was that yes the ‘new’ RCMP officer will be hired (even though only 2.4% tax increase)

Some Comparisons

I will go into this more at a later date ---- Here is comparison from last few years – Residential takes more of the hit --- as does increased reliance upon’user fees’ (data later)
