Clearing off to
bring sunshine Monday? ·
Third look at Council meeting ·
Boats get free parking in City lot? ·
Cow Bay

SQCRD moving -- + Koning back – ·
Cardboard
going to Dump? (not Recycling) |

|
A beautiful
evening |
|
After
a cloudy day that threatened showers the evening turned out spectacular –
hopefully heralding a sunny Monday |
|
Mentioned
too that the 1M$ that’s to come from CityWest now looks like won’t ‘be paid
until this fall --- 2nd look ----
First look |
Third look
at Council |
|
Presumably the
million $ contract to take sewer line out of Hays Creek will be (finally) let
this September --- along same lines the new RCMP cells are on hold – seems
each new officer in charge has different ideas about what is needed – 1M$ now
looking 4M$ etc |
|
|
So how much
does City Parking get for parked boat trailers etc |
|
Some
of these boats trailers don’t even have licence plates –another long expired
etc |
|
|
Garon
lobbying for free parking for boats too? |
|
But then Gina has now moved out to the Industrial site – she was complaining at the Council meeting that ‘unsightly’ as crews not removed alders from ditches etc ---- So now we will have Bedard complaining about the drive in from Port Ed – and Gina about the alders at Industrial park – go figure
These
guys don’t even worry about parking in the lot --- arrow points to sidewalk |
|
|
Upstairs or
Down? |
|
So
the Prince Rumour is that SQCRD will be moving to the Triumph Timber building
– though not clear if upstairs or down --- former has more space --- but
either way, where will they park? And what about Board meetings? ---- I will
update later on their move to curtail Recycling – word is now that going to
lay off (or reduce his hours so far might as well be laid off) a junior
employee ---- That is while Helen Koning coming back to earn 75$ per hour – see my previous (scroll down to
checks) and the link for FOI, etc |
|
|
And speaking
of Recycling--- |
|
According
to my information it is ‘illegal’ to put ‘good’ cardboard into dumpsters to
go out to the Dump – I will look up the fine later --- the idea is that more
that goes to Recycling the longer our Dump will last before needs ‘next
phase’ etc |
