We See

From Zoning to Gas Tax to Audit

Sell the Fire Hall – I have long heard the hotel behind covets the space for its own Parking etc

OCP map changes fire hall to Commercial

The inclusion of CityWest within the Audit makes comparisons to previous years less easy than before – Is all that cash in City West coffers?

City Audit will take time to unravel

Look at that: City is sitting on 14M$ ‘cash’ up from only 9.8M$ last year

As I have pointed out before, while First Nations make up the bulk of the Mainland Regional District – the small hamlets of Dodge Cove and Oona River use up all the SQCRD $$ for their projects – Illegally in Oona River example I have argued before (see links at bottom that page for previous)

Here is another item from the Audit

50T$ for Tsimshian Access? And Water Front project? – What water front project? I guess we are on a need to know basis. I see too that the Gas Tax Refund to municipalities etc has been extended to 2014

Rezoning and déjà vu

The cleaning up of the drawings for Southern Kaien Island were given as the rationale for the passing of OCP map – funny last year about this time – the City Planner was passing a very similar map with similar explanation – and the Audit was on agenda too --- and there too the topic was Airport Subsidy over time – using Audit for data

The turning of the season

The change from dandelion flowers to seed heads has recently taken place – Here is page where use Dandelions as seasonal indicator with links at bottom page

Alders leaves and season

Progress of Season – Alder leaves fully expanded and the fern fiddleheads almost unrolled

We passed through the white flower phase with less fan fare than in some years

Elderberry – and Mountain Ash bloom close together for a short few days – and then it is over – the seeding phase takes over

Mountain Ash in May 2005 where over sooner than this year
