We See

Flowers, SOFI and Audits

Third Avenue closed --- looks like sewer/ water line

SQCRD has provided its SOFI (Statement of Financial Information) – the City is still working on theirs (needs Council approval yet, I was told )

Paying City Taxes

Here are totals (provided me by City Finance Department) how the Prince Rupert municipal taxes that are collected for other entities total (the tax rate is given on individual property tax bills and amount paid to each from your Tax payment – but not the totals)

So NW Regional Hospital costs us $586,412 and the Regional Hospital another $136,524 while SQCRD costs us a mere $496,018 – but schools at 4.4M$ are the big item – More later

I have Koning starting SQCRD in mid August 2009 (also see links end of that page) – which is less than 6 months – so 2 times 62T$???

SOFI includes total amounts paid out to ‘suppliers’ over 25T

I note here that the CAO Helen Koning received $62,845 up to Dec 31st 2009 as ‘remuneration’ – A citizen had to file an FOI for current Contract info – More later

I wonder if pages Cell phone (provided by SQCRD) included??--- Bet not.

Another look at Regional Directors Pay

I have been here before – how much of this are PR taxpayers forking out? Subsidizing the Charlottes – and perhaps the Electoral Area Directors too – especially their travel and other expenses --- note Karl Bergman’s ‘expenses’ --- and locally Gina Garon attended a couple of meetings and wracked up $1588.13 expenses? --- May include travel to Charlottes?

Should Rupert taxpayers pay QCI etc medical?

Note the totals are only given and individual amounts not recorded as done in previous years

More questions

See my earlier on Benefits packages (end this page)

More later on both City Audit and SQCRDs

And then there is the Audit

Note the mere audit shows the Recycling Depot with a 7T$ surplus in 2009

City West gives a boost

Hanging baskets of flowers put on lamp poles --- after hours

Flowers

I see that most the spring flowers worked their way through – and now the Goldenrods (my earlier) --- while arrow beginning to bloom – see my earlier where spectacular at park in mid June etc --- also the grasses are now beginning to bloom as image left – ditto the Cow Parsnip which only beginning its rapid growth (blue arrow) --- see this page for the spring flowers and Nature on this site

GHG emissions inventory as seen by the province --- note the reduction in Single Family dwellings etc

Here is SQCRD CEEI link page

More on this over next week in view of June 7th Council meeting
