Public spaces?

Public Spaces or business perk?

Hey my parking lot is clear? What is your problem?

One of these stoves was burning wood pellets

Blocking the sidewalk for an important message

When I asked the City about the legality of this sign – I was told ‘it was fully legal’ as there is a provision in a bylaw that allows informational signs --- Here I thought the whole point of regulating signs on public property was to protect us from liability issues ---- thus all the worry about ‘slip and fall’ law suits presumably led city to grind down those potential tripping points on sidewalks as below – I will follow up on this later

SQCRD needs attention

In my naivety, I believed that if the CAO found this example of legal liability hidden in SQCRD controlled water systems – what about all the other entities like the dump on the Charlottes? What liabilities might lie there??

When I approached Mayor Jack Mussalem about this he admitted he had not even read the Electoral Area minutes (in the December 18th agenda package)

So where are the Minutes etc for this Board? If the SQCRD/ (read PR Taxpayers) are to pay for the audit, this must be something more than just another committee the SQCRD members sit on – more later

SQCRD Regional Hospital District

At last City Council meeting it was explained the Sheila Gordon-Payne could not sit on SQCRD because this Hospital District would mean a conflict of interest

Again this may be significant

All those appointed boards should not only be sending their minutes to the SQCRD – but the latter should be ‘authorising’ their recommendations – presumably in a public meeting

Period of cold clear evenings over

While the sunsets were spectacular – glad to see the rain again
