We See

Walks around town

Here the setting sun following a day of clearing Westerly winds – but the fog also coming back in too

Walk arounds in PR

We See

·         Sunny weather in forecasts (but foggy?)

·         Epicurean as example

·         Tot Lot slide dangerous?

·         Charles Justice essay

·         Transient vendors might have a good idea

·        Brash Aster Flowers going to seed

Epicurean as Nuisance

I still don’t see any attempt to tear the building down yet – presumably now preparing an ‘order’ from Council. Note this owner’s negligence in monitoring his building ws in some ways the cause of the fire --- thus local alcoholics were hanging out back there on the ‘provided’ couch etc (see my previous)  – they have subsequently moved elsewhere --- but usually where owners not maintaining property (thus a back loading area etc)

What happened to the slide?

Looks like it was hit by a vehicle --- if ‘kids’ could do this then need to look at safety all these apparatuses

New Feature: I will be publishing other peoples works on this web site in future – here we see a different side to Charles Justice from the type stories he used to put in PRDN along a more ecological theme—here it is global rather than local and more ‘Justice’ than ecology (excuse the pun) etc

Summary of a Charles Justice essay

This article concerns the fact that recently the Vatican declared that ordaining women priests is in the same category of sin as sexual abuse by priests.  I point out the connections between patriarchy and child abuse.

As simple as boys versus girls

Gil must be away

We see this vendor parking on someone else’s property and selling trinkets etc --- Still this might be a good idea – perhaps City should rent one of these vacant lots for this sort of thing during summer tourism days

And speaking of nuisances

The Rupert Hotel has to pay for sidewalk patios etc (and links from there) on public property – this business looks like its remodelling will be ‘permanent’ --- maybe waiting for Revitalization’ boondoggle to be passed by City Council so he can subtract any improvements from his (municipal) taxes – more later

The fading of summer into Autumn?

We see this ‘dandelion’ like weed to be now going to seed --- it helps brighten up a lot of our vacant lots etc – this is same one as on hill across from Civic Center, etc (image below left) And below right is about a week ago when still brashly blooming

Summer fading

See previous on Aster Family etc with link to dandelions

Note the stalked plumes --  I needed  that character to key it out (by your seed you will be known)

Ships in Harbour

This one taking logs from up the harbour --- the stop sign not an ENGO statement

So did the City run out of $$ in the re-roofing?

Good use of small area for food
