The ‘White’ flowers just beginning to bloom
The ‘March of
Spring’ – I have shown this change more yellow to white blooms several
years ago |
|
Above the
dandelion seed pod appearing |
Also just
beginning is the End of the Dandelion Bloom that lasted longer this year than
‘usual’ |
|
Dandelions
(an introduced weed) dominates the early Rupert flower bloom --- seems to
peak at different times – this year the ‘peak’ lasted several weeks and only
now going into seed phase --- see my earlier for Dandelion – and the links on bottom this page etc |

More
infrastructure problems |
|
In the Kennedy
Report (2005) it was reported that Rupert had 72M$ needed infrastructure –
much remains delayed because of $$$ -- here is an example of consequences – presumably
had to dig up the valve (which may have broken when tried to turn off) ---
then a bulge in sidewalk/ pavement shows water leak so had to dig up the line
to repair --- small stuff but symptomatic |
|
|
|
Hole left shows the
cut-off valve – images above are pipe etc that connect to ground level |
|
Council
meeting tonight – I suspect the HST is similar to the overlooked 5M$ by Rodin his first year ---
which was put down to an error in Logic’ |
City Council
|
|
Was ‘surprised’ to find
that many of the HST increases did not apply to City Transit and municipally
owned ferry --- more later – but I suggest that not properly researched by
‘staff; |

CityWest
Crews install banners |
|
Nice
banners but wonder who is paying the overtime for this? –Any guesses,
Taxpayers?

The Closure
continue |
|
More
closures on 3rd Avenue --- sure there was a recession in 2008-2009
--- But Real story is both no major employer to replace Pulp mill and
declines in fishing industry ---Plus I suspect the Casino is mopping up what
little discretionary income remains locally --- as we predicted -- and here

|
Local Gardening --- series to begin
|
|
This small
yard maximizes its gardening space – more later on PR urban food supply – now
and over the post WW2 era |
