	Seems the province ‘gave’ the city 50T$ in April 2008 – but not used it yet so extended to 2010

Gordon Payne asked ‘how did we re-establish contact in August 2009?’ Turns out Nellie Cheng (back to photo above) had called them on telephone then etc More later

In some BC municipalities http://www.health.gov.bc.ca/pandemic/local.html the ‘emergency preparedness program being used to co-ordinate responses to ‘Swine Flu’ – if and when the outbreak might happen---more later – but Council had to ‘consider’ sending someone to a conference in Langley – maybe and will leave swine flu to the experts etc – more later	Missed Opportunity?
