We See Audits, leaks and elections

Note 1 where large area presumably for concession stands – and 4 where the landscaping is rudimentary – note too the Elderberries in full white bloom

While Liberals won a commanding victory in election – it could easily have been different if Green vote in a mere 6 ridings had gone NDP – arguing for some sort of accommodation on the left needed see below

Cow Bay Parking lot – Pay and confusion

While it seemed intent of putting in parking meter was to keep this lot open for tourism – it ran into pot holes when Councillor Garon questioned if that was the meaning of earlier Parking Task force 2007 which she co-chaired and it’s Boulevard report (on City web site)

How the City could enforce someone only having to buy a ticket if parking >2 hours hard to understand – More later ---

Doesn’t city own the industrial site marked 3 image left?

Note too the Golf course still on City books --- but they will still have to advertise in newspaper if/ when the guaranteed any loan in 2008 – more later

From Audit

Note 3 says the loan to Museum is to be paid by June 30th 2009, which could explain the recent sale of portion of Museum building complex to Kitkatla

Leaky pipes

Apparently this leak started when a property excavated their back lot to make parking space – it has gone on for over a month --- and will become a nuisance if not fixed before winter comes – but we’ll see

Sidewalk on City Property

I brought this up before – the sidewalk in front on Innlander is not supported on the far end – using the existing sidewalk – looks like City property and thus City will be liable if/ when the sidewalk falls

After STV

Assuming the tally remains 49-36 for 2009 election (as in Preliminary results) --- then looks like NDP and Greens have to come to some sort of agreement --- merger

I have sorted the election results for close votes that could have been won by NDP if they had the had green votes

Sports fishing

We see the sporties boats being towed to some resort --- symbolism here is that the park used to be to commemorate local fishers – who have been almost totally replaced by outside interests – and now even the fish are going to sporties from down south etc
