From 2008
Audit
|
|
Note the
revenue from Chances – 400T$ I am told it was
expected to earn City couple hundred thousand more when Casino idea ‘sold’ to
community (here Sept 07) etc Note too the
350T from Province towards the Ferry dock The Public Transit
Grant for 2007 does not look correct – more later |

Rushbrooke floats
being paved |
|
The
photo from earlier in week --- presumably lines will be drawn and some
drainage culverts put into the parking lot beside ramp to prevent runoff
interfering with fish habitat |
|
|
City
violating By-law?? |
|
Sign
meant for the tourists off the cruise ship – but somewhere there is a By-layw
against putting signs in middle of sidewalk --- after it was pointed out
staff put it back on ‘city property’ by stairs |
|
The fellow on
the ‘tractor’ at blue arrow was going around drilling several holes into base
of every pole – testing for rot – then hole plugged up as at right ---
presumably the poles ‘belong’ to BC Hydro |
Are the
utility poles ‘sound’ |
|

|
Garry Coons winds
handily |
|
Many
thought it was going to be a closer race – especially with the Campbell
Liberals putting in so much money into campaign (all those signs etc) CBC
tally |

Cruise ship

Serenade of the Seas
– but was gone by 6PM |

Biking to
Work |
|
So
who paid for the signs? Looks like PR did In
image above Gordon-Payne has her bike helmet – and threatened to put Kinney
on ‘Trailer’ to bring to the meeting last Monday |
|
|
And the Dandelions are at their
peak just now
|
|
Presumably
dandelions ‘late’ because of cooler weather – compare with El Nino year 2005 as here) – but also in 2004 More later –
but also note the apple and cherry trees are in full bloom locally too –
while the ‘white flowers’ elderberry, ash etc – are just now opening – more
later with links to previous years |
