Tennis
Courts nets up |
|
Within
hours of the city crew putting up the tennis nets there were people in there
playing and have been most the times I have passed since then |
|
|
So where are
the signs?? |
|
How
much did that meter cost? It has been in there quite a while now looks to
be activated but no signs telling people they have to pay and no one is
so far as I could tell approximately 20 cars and none with tickets in
window

Kootenany
Field as garden?? |
|
KAPS
was at City Council asking to use this field both for recreation and for a
garden area I
will return to this later but more generally there are lots of unused city
lots (laneways and undeveloped streets etc) that could be made into gardens
but as KAPS was asking there must be some sort of structure for doing this
--- Rentals? Fences? A garden club per site? |

Kid Friendly
town? |
|
That
was another group at council --- I think they wanted to set up a committee
that would scrutinize upcoming by-laws and policies --- but what exactly was
not evident yes if the City were doing a new subdivision but I would
suggest the Budget was really the place to get the inputs --- more later |

Measuring up
|
|
Here
is an example of a policy that did work not only audible street light
signals but easy access as here where the wheel chair did not have to go
over the curb but had easy drive way But the idea would be for the Kid
Friendly to give City specifics that need changing over time. More
later |
