Gray presentation Council Jan
26th
The
several local authorities are products of late 1990’s when Feds withdrew from
running airports and local docks etc Thus
Seal Cove Airport Society (defunct??) Speaking
to someone from Dodge Cove, they actually find controlling their own docks to
be beneficial ---- I am told Lax Kw’alaams and Metlakatla run their docks but
not as an Authority |
|
And what about the ‘Airport Society’?---
presumably a non profit society with Directors appointed by City See
this history But as has been recently brought up about Prince George Airport
Authority : PG Citizen
story on their Airport Authority: claims to be public, but private And
Vancouver where YVR authority appointed by
nominees

Landlord Tenant dispute |
|
I will return to
Henry Green the Master Carver another day --- the ironies of situation --- I was
told City once looked into building the present Museum on SQCRD & Carving
shed land – but found out that Carving shed etc was actually Reserve Land ---
so decided upon present location where land not disputed --- thus there is
some logic to Henry’s suggestion Lax Kw’alaams run the carving shed |

PR City Council – and
Conflict of Interest – Community
Charter: Ethical

next steps??-- Section

Illegal –
contrary to Tax Act? |
|
When this broadened
out to include other groups at
January 26th meeting – Bedard spoke to the motion and voted
for it I suggest this
contravenes the Community Charter (Conflict of
Interest) At another level
this is how things are done in PR --- self interest seen as ‘For the Greater
Good’ especially by the ‘ruling class’ |

Presumably
the new foot bridge is part of some Grant money to upgrade the trail |
