We See

And hear

Chances and partners own a good chunk of Rupert – more later

  Prince Rumour has it

Chances has bought Solly’s and plans to close it, moving the liquor license to Hollywood video old building --- whose owner involved with them in Mall etc

Furniture store bought the buildings?

Looks like old Empress is being gutted/ fixed up?

I hear the present occupant’s lease expired – given option of purchasing the building or moving --- And thus CFA purchased --- so what will happen to the Beer hall?

From OCP – all the streams were to be given a DPA status – along with industrial Areas

Too bad shorelines not included

OCP and DPAs and trails

This is from the SQCRD trail options – so far as I am able to find out the trail along Grassy Bay – which potential valuable fish habitat has no need for City Permits etc

These are 3 bucks – 2 older and one juvenile – are they all related? Do the males ‘socialize’ the younger generation?

Fall Coming – migrations beginning?

Elderberries? Or a Sorbus? Whatever hundreds of birds are eating them – huge noisy flocks mixed species many young starlings etc

Why Road work?

Earlier in year water main problems

Lots of Activity on 1st Ave

Electrician tearing down a building behind façade – presumably more storage area

The recent ‘drought’ has brought potential water shortages to mind – thus Diana Lake etc said to be 8 feet below normal height – what about City Water supply? --- More later

But notice how beautiful garden is based upon lots of water --- thus blue arrow is a 2 inch pipe of water turning a paddle wheel --- hopefully they are recycling the water from pool below – Rupert tends to take plentiful cheap water for granted – and often abused by locals to beautify lawns etc

Beautiful garden – and practical one

Another perspective argues even with fish plants etc running full blast – still have lots of water as system built for a larger population than presently in Rupert

Presumably this is reason new parking lot built

Stuck on Designs presumably moving here soon

Derelict cars beginning to accumulate

I like this one – has a green paint mark presumably left by City crews – perhaps to document that it is not moving? – The license plate is expired, etc

More later
