very interesting discussion by a group that considers something terribly wrong
with our local government --- Extremely well prepared with details and
‘facts’ --- Council did well to let them present their case |

What
about Howie’s 40T$ contract (beside his salary) in 2007? – What about all those
others on ‘contract’ – the planner, the acting corporate manager? --- Have
they been handled well? Legally? |

Nepotism or
shrewd business deals? Was
Pond the villain of piece for going behind Council ‘s back and ‘authorizing’
Howie’s wife’s contracts? Was
Howie the ‘villain’ for not informing Council of implications and Charter
implications? And family benefiting? Was
Council ‘at fault’ for not keeping track of budget and hiring contracts etc? Is
it only a small procedural ‘glitch’ easily rectified by passing retrospective
resolution/ bylaw? I will deal
with this in more detail tomorrow |
