Signs of Spring

High pressure area in Pacific still dominating west coast weathers

But hat system out at 180W looks like it could bring storm force winds

2005 was El Nino year	2006 – 2008 steadily cooler?	Between 5º and 10º Isotherm
		2008 cooler than 2007	5º gradient to WCVI 10-15 compressed

	Skeena low waters – presumably 2008 not as cold as 2007 (freshets Jan- March)
	Last year was both record snowpack and snow melt waters for Skeena – looks like river rise (melt?) was about April 15^th in 2007 Presumably the Eulachon have come and gone on the Skeena – some believe ‘came early’ others that was small run (as farther south in California, OR etc
