RCMP, Fire free Swim/ gym passes

Update – Tuesday

‘used’ vs issued – while I heard 35+ given out – perhaps only 14 have ‘accepted’ or at least are ‘active’ --- I have asked for number ‘issued’ – and suggested that used or not – it would be a taxable benefit for CRA purposes

Are we all ‘Equal’? part one

Recreation has sent me the following email

Before I left on holidays a total of 7 passes had been issued to a combination of RCMP and Firehall officers.  That number has doubled to 14 active passes.  A total of 66 uses have been logged with these passes since January 1, 2008.

See earlier where a toddler and mom have to pay 7.50$ to go swimming

And this one where taxpayers subsidize pool by 750T$ per year

Or my previous 7 or 35??

Are we all ‘Equal’?

Reminds me of an incident overheard when I was in university:

This ‘worker’ was saying – ‘This University would be a nice place to work – if only they would get rid of the students’ to which another added ‘And the faculty’

So Recreation Center would be great place to work: You fill in the rest

Untidy premises – using ‘City’ property

Feral Cats update

Fellow who dared complain about feral cats was later ordered to straighten up his yard (untidy premises) and also to move stacked wood etc off ‘City property’

Are we all ‘Equal?’ part 2

Good news is that criminal charges still awaiting crown prosecutor to determine whether to prosecute the case or not – Bad news is the son has been sick 3 weeks: reaction to cats’

Untidy premises – using City property

Take a look at what is behind these properties on 3rd Avenue All those vehicles (in top image) are presumably parked on ‘City Property’--- I see boats, buses, even a ‘Port’ Emergency vehicle – which moved from one day to next – but does not have a license plate

Are we all ‘Equal’?

I hear

Zorba’s by keeping its take out open after bars close – is ‘creating’ a situation where people mill around – getting in fights etc instead of peacefully ‘going home’

The place next to it seems to have an absentee landlord – drugs, parties etc – makes Inlander look like ‘well maintained’

I hear the ‘Bylaw Officer’ quit last Friday – went to take a higher paying job somewhere else – -- I hear the person went on a spree handing out tickets before left – JV collected 3 in one day—and will contest them --- another individual claims only in spot 3 minutes before given a ticket – they will contest it too

Dog bylaws

I see little change ‘downtown’ with dogs crapping on streets, tied to street lights while owners have coffee, etc  – The fellow to left got out of truck with 2 dogs – no leashes and no doggie bags – took the dogs for a ‘run’ at Moresby Pond ----- (not to be confused with Herb Pond – who is off handshaking somewhere to south any ways)
