Council meeting

And the ‘absentee Mayor’

‘visits’ home

The first 3 presentations took a couple hours

Roads/ Wolves & Poverty – story first

Lessons?

This will be a fun meeting to analyse as ‘clearly’ points to ‘inadequacy’ present Council/ Mayor’s approaches –

But also its strengths

Or so I will argue

Questions from Public –

1) 2130 Graham avenue provokes discussion

2) L Golden gets ‘put down’ by mayor

Probably the most ‘entertaining’ part of meeting

Is there a lesson here?

Both Green Apple and 2130 indicate—What?

Discussion later

Business section of meeting was hurried through

(all in last half hour of 3 hour meeting)

Grants were done well—but not elaborated on in public session

Plus Cotton street contrasts with Green Apple

Good news --- from Finance

discussion later --- as below where ‘utilities’ hep pay the expenses

Finances need more time to deal with --- but good news is that 5 million$ oversight was able to be covered with transfer from reserves of 3.5M$

More later

I will develop each of these separately with a final discussion page

Overview

1) Highlight of meeting was 2130 Graham Avenue ‘dicussion’

2) The 3 presentations took up most the meeting

3) ‘Business’ done quickly so as to be done by 10 –
agenda packages have the info and show lots of work & thought in doing grants etc in preparation for Budget
