Town in Decline

Derelict been there many months

No one cares?

·        Derelict cars again becoming prominent on streets

·        Innlander –even façade failing

·        Dog Bylaw not enforced

·        Mall Sold

·        Casino$ the new ‘rulers’?

Innlander – even the ‘new’ façade looking derelict

See 2004 previous where City Council wanted new façade so tourists coming in on buses wouldn’t be shocked --- Place even more derelict now, and the façade falling off – but real problem is inside

But will it be enforced?

This dog crap ‘downtown’ 3rd Avenue looks like owners are not too worried

I still see as many dogs tied up to streetlamps etc – or running free as owners walk along nearby

New Era in Prince Rupert

See top of page for other items

Mall Sold

I hear that agreement reached; will be finalized in May and change hands in August --- end of era as Maclean et all retire and new/ next generation of ‘outside $’ completes acquisitions major properties in Rupert

Casino $$ controls a lot of real estate downtown

Do you think the new loan shark has anything to do with the new Casino??
