Looks suspect to me

Maybe we should call in an Engineer from Vancouver

Previous story – more info now then when first wrote

Feral Cat problem --- fuels neighbourhood dispute

Problem seemed ‘simple’ enough – feral cats defecating etc in/ around these parked sports vehicles --- SPCA allegedly told owner he could trap – then make sure not just strays – then euthanize etc --- But from there it escalated to the RCMP laying Criminal Charges for (??) threatening to kill cats --- then City told him formally another neighbour had complained about his wood stacked on City property and he must remove wood immediately

Presumably this neighbour feeding the feral cats and originating the complaints (I am told)

The undeveloped lane that used to access back of the property is also in dispute

Here the stairs look to be on City Property of undeveloped land – and appears to be the only entrance to house

The stacked wood is on undeveloped lane/ sewer line right of way (yellow on map above)

So why is the City getting involved in this?

The Feral Cat problem was not addressed last September (put off as too contentious)

(Here is Jay’s Report on cat/dog issue from that time –PDF on City site) --- leaving to local ‘wars’ with RCMP/ Bylaw officers being drawn in as foils to harm the person who dares complain

Meanwhile one of the families kids spent four days sick – doctor finally figured out it was reaction to the feral cat stink/ spraying/ defecating ---

I am told a Public Health officer has ordered the feral cats removed --

Further irony

The person who allegedly ‘complained’ about the wood that was on City property – well behind their place is the remains of a previous roof that was thrown there rather than taking out to dump (yes there were witnesses)
