Electrically heated sidewalk
|
|
|
The
plow might be an improvement – though almost as much snow on sidewalks –
still probably does not throw snow as far up on sidewalk as do the larger
City trucks with fixed front blade |
|
And
Oil (presumably hydraulic) was leaking pretty badly onto street and then into
sewer system – on its way out into the ocean
|
|
|
Pulp prices
sky rocketing |
|
Part
of this perhaps explained by declining value of US currency --- some people say
local pulp mill could make $ at anything above 400$ so lots of potential here

Problems? |
|
Mall
Entrance way – and I hear it is not only the ‘flooring’ that is sagging –
also supports |
|
|
Feuding Neighbors
– a common problem? |
|
One
neighbor has ‘complained’ about a trailer behind another neighbors property
on City ‘Sewer line’ easement --- presumably the arguments go back for over a
decade – and City feels must order the offending item removed --- |
|
|
|
|
These
sports vehicles etc all look to be on private property while the mess next
door is actually on City property (I suspect) It
is these kinds of arguments the city will get drawn into by not enforcing
bylaws unless/ until someone makes a formal complaint Thus
it is easy for some neighbors to use the City to attack another neighbour
even though the one attacked is less in ‘wrong’ --- and often I see ‘newer’
homes complaining about older homes in their vicinity --- and using City to
force others to ‘upgrade’ their properties --- a better solution would be to
apply same standards throughout city – especially as now have 2 new Bylaw officers

For the ‘We
See’ – go to the top of page Thus
contractor hired to push snow on sidewalks? How
‘green’ are heated sidewalks’? Pulp
prices just keep climbing More
than Green Apple have foundation problems |
