 Cold still

Moresby Pond getting lots of visitors

Stream still running but pond iced over to depth several feet I am told

Derelict houses on Biggar St (near 3rd Ave) demolished

They were in such bad shape I wondered if the City had ordered them torn down –

But I hear a developer had bought both of them and hopes to convert site into a mini mall (when economy turns)

Global Warming

On left is a poster put out by UK

Climate Progress web site on 2008 one of warmest on record (but ‘normal’ for BC North Coast due to La Nina)

SQCRD Meeting Friday Dec 19th

About the only business was to give oath to new members and hold elections --- which produced it own sort of drama --- Pages has been in office 4 years and some were looking for change --- But when both Jack Mussallem and Des Nobles ran against Pages – assured Pages victory – my analysis of why both ran tomorrow

Mussallem has said he plans to sell SQCRD builing and move them into Museum building. At one time SQCRD located in old swimming pool building (above) and Museum was in present SQCRD – then the new longhouse built --- (which is supposed to be paid off in 2008)

This petroglyph rock sits in front of SQCRD

Has been there since the old Museum --- has faded so much that can hardly see the petroglyphs anymore – the question becomes what will happen to rock if/ when present SQCRD building sold?

Below is an image of rock before put at Museum – Reverend Rushbrooke ‘found’ it at Observatory Inlet and had brought to PR – Image from a Phyllis Bowman book

Red outline?
