Business item 6B

NH Property Purchase for Acropolis Manor

I see that City has already entered a ‘Permission to enter’ agreement w NH

Excerpts form Douglas Jay’s Report

My Comments 1)Landscaping  good to see those public input sessions have some results and not just going through the motions

2)Privatizing: $100T ‘just in case’ Campbell ‘Liberals’ privatize it as part of their right wing agenda

3) Waive 75T$: looks like more taxpayers subsidizing – rationale: NHA put $ into facility

Business item 6B

Taekwondo request for ‘Grant in Aid’

After hearing they were to be granted $$ (a transfer from a 10T$ fund in City accounts to the Recreation accounts --- Kinney told them not necessary for the kids to sit through whole meeting ---so they left – almost emptying room of all ‘spectators’

Business item 6D

Yellow line marks building extension request – will match color etc of present exterior

#3 Cow Bay --- permit

Wants to extend building to add storage space – see yellow line --- this type thing permitted for business properties as no set backs needed etc

A Provincial Summit of Community Leaders PDF

I will deal with discussions etc in Part 3

The Success by Six request that 3 councillors attend ‘Summit’ brought humorous banter as Gordon-Payne and others bantered over who would be able to attend --- was decided that look at travel expenses already used by councillors and decide after see if there is enough money
