Parking meters to Rushbrooke Floats area

Implemented by May 1st

Free loading over – one almost expects some of these people to stop at local soup kitchen too for free meal

Kiosk has been bought

Profits will go into a trust account to be used only for Rushbrooke floats area improvements

Licenses fish guides may by seasonal pass at 150$

City does not own ‘mud’ lot at boat launch

Still belongs to Canfisco: lease has expired and city would like to purchase lot and pave it etc – I am told all George Hills Way will have parking spaces painted in by Spring all the way down to the Yacht Club

Free Loading

This Alberta pick-up and boat trailer sat here for several days this summer/ fall.

It would cover perhaps 3 to 4 regular car spaces and thus will have to pay for all 4 on hourly basis

Boat trailers not exempt

This Alberta trailer sat here for several weeks. Sometimes with a vehicle attached and sometimes by itself

2 Car lengths?

I have previously shown pages where the road from yacht Club to Boat launch is filled up with fishers trucks and boats—Council has acted wisely to charge these people for use of ‘our’ streets etc --- only problem might be that they move into residential areas where even now boat trailers sit unmoved for months at end

Previous looks at parking: Cow bay Area & George Hill ---- and this one which shows Canfisco lot w better image
