Long view city finances

I am using data from 2004 2005 2006 audits

Interesting long view

See earlier where ‘accountability’ of Airport committee questioned

The Kennedy Report in 2005 said the City taxpayer subsidizing the Airport Ferry one of most egregious examples poor subsidizing rich (or words to that effect)

At time Mayor Pond saw it only as downturn in customer base – as image left agrees

Using Audit data for long term picture

Will have to check why the 2005 data looks so disproportionate – a major repair to ferry? Or numbers wrong? (source: Statement E 2005 audit)

Here is going back to pre-Herb Pond era and airport subsidy --- at that time I said 2000 subsidy was $1,159,887 comparing well with $1,135,728 for 2005

Sales of services source: Schedule 2

Water Sewer rates going up (again) in 2008

Presumably this was the place where 5M$ mistake happened in 2007 double counted the utilities

Revenue form the pool and gym

2005 saw 7M$ new loans – Museum and Cruise ship dock

Here is an interesting page from Kumar era where graphic gives residential tax rates etc --- total taxes – and how City West subsidized City over the years
