Safety Concern?

Emergency exit barred

Note bar across emergency exit window

  • Bus safety concern

  • 2nd Ave Bridge

  • Reefer trucks & jobs

  • Snow & sidewalks

  • Spring??

Is this a Problem?

Or ‘Survival of the Fittest’

Local Bus company does not seem to think so

Note the hand rail bar across the windows (above) and using image left it does not look like bar is attached to window – but bus frame itself – meaning that it will remain when window ‘emergency exit’ pushed out --- at this window might not be a problem to crawl over – but in above image looks like could prevent any but fittest to survive

2nd Ave boardwalk bridge

All the darker boards are new – the lighter ones from ‘original’ but replacing them would be time consuming as a support bar attached –

Note the crew found an electrical outlet under the bridge that allowed them to use City power rather than generating it --- for saws etc

I counted 7 reefer trucks (presumably loading herring) at one fish plant and down the road another 9 outside the other fish plant

Note these 2 trucks along the road both had expired license plates

Most the other trucks had plates that said ‘non-expiring’ – so presumably they are constantly on road while these 2 only used/ rented occasionally

Reefer Trucks take away jobs?

And it snowed

Here is a an abandoned small car in intersection --- most were not expecting this kind of snow in PR – especially in late March

City Crews anti-pedestrian?

Over zealous plow crews managed to put all the curb side snow on sidewalks – making most impassable –

So most of us could walk in streets but so we really want young children forced into streets so ‘cars’ can park easily etc?

This bush in full bloom of yellow flowers – but note how the heavy snow has ‘broken down’ part of it

Spring ‘delayed’

Sign of ‘hope’ – flowers and spring
