B82 ADDITIONAL HOTEL ROOM TAX Skeena-Queen Charlotte RD WHEREAS the Hotel Room Tax Act allows municipalities and regional districts, as prescribed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, to apply for Additional Hotel Room Tax (AHRT) to be levied on their behalf;

C34 DELIVERY OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES Skeena-Queen Charlotte RD WHEREAS local community input into the provision of delivery of health services has been significantly reduced with the creation of regional health authorities; AND WHEREAS communities continue to express frustration at the lack of such input: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the UBCM establish a task force to determine the extent of frustration and develop options for improving community input into the delivery of local health care services.

B125 PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT Skeena-Queen Charlotte RD CONTINGENCY FUND WHEREAS the provincial government establishes a contingency fund in its annual budget, which isreallocated to provincial debt if all funds are not exceeded within the current fiscal year; AND WHEREAS a significant amount of provincial revenue, past and present, is derived fromresources in the North, which provides for infrastructure in the province;AND WHEREAS communities throughout the North are going through major transition and requireimmediate funding to improve and maintain their infrastructure, which far exceeds currently
