Note on plan
below – stores and retail sq feet given – along with over 1200 parking spots
– see original in PDF |
|
Pond
(& Council?) See ROYOP as necessary to offset ‘drain $$$’ from PR to Terrace by shoppers (Thorkelson voted
against this ‘vision’ but lost 5-1) And
what is this ‘public Safety building’? & sale City lands? Both signal demise of Downtown core by Pond & Company The
stratification of 49 apartment units got less discussion – even though
even more units in works |

More?? |

Alexander
& Douglas apts in works |

Roosevelt Apartments |

45
units with 49 parking spaces involved |

|
What
is needed? Council is
attempting to profoundly change PR from central core to sprawl No public
discussion Nor is there
any discussion on continued availability of affordable housing implicit in
requests for stratification |
Council asked ‘process’ questions
|
|
Thorkelson
led the way but Gordon-Payne and Bedard followed the ‘lead’ – If no ‘intent
to sell’ at this time, thus no ‘tenant relocation plan’ then why going
through process to stratify? There
was no real answer to this except that was kind of thing that could be
brought up at Public Hearing when developer present |
