Another perspective of PR where many of younger people not reaching their potential --- the program is followed across North America with the BC contributing 12M$ and partnering with Credit Unions and charities

Part of the program reviewed here dealt with EDI which was part of a national attempt to find ‘indicators’ of child well being

9-1-1 and Dogs

This council has only 2 public meetings per month and thus a lot crammed into them. Some matters would be better served with more exposure – as was done when 4 public meetings per month.

  • Bylaw No. 3183, 2004 – 9-1-1 Dispatch Service
This was taken off the general taxation ($326,700.00) and moved to a phone fee which will generate either $97,000 or $135,280.20 depending on how one counts the phone ‘lines’
  • The Bylaw No. 3186, 2004 – Dog Licence and Control
    Provisions for dangerous dogs etc

If this is enforced could mean fines for letting dog run loose; any dog biting someone would have to spend 14 days ‘in jail’ (pound) to be sure not have rabies (at owners expense per diem
