I counted 114 applications for Wind Farm exploration (most were from 2007) and 253 for water (2005-2007) –
Searched on 10/8/2007

The present application is for monitoring and thus only covers 7 hectares –image is the whole farm – red arrows the monitoring sites and blue arrow indicates Port Edward—

The applicant Simon Harvey appears to be the owner of Nomis Power – (there listed as a real estate developer and partner with ‘Russ Hellberg the former mayor of Port Hardy’)

See this Google map image for Southern BC water tenures (accepted and applications made for) –Gold rush – but more significantly an important shift in public policy – amounts to massive privatization of BC Waters

I have put mainly the wind applications here – there are numerous water exploration applications regionally – especially in the Kitimat / Douglas Channel area – example Dahlaks Creek – Crab Lake on Alan Reach (2007) – Europa on Gardner Canal (2005) etc
