Views/ Visions of the Water/ harbour front

Something jarring – abandoned train yards from vision of PR as RR terminus

Note how the CN station and the mall above were byproducts of the original vision of PR by Hayes and Rattenbury, which failed to materialize

  At one time CN controlled access to shore of harbour--then it changed from RRs to real estate

Thus CN liquidated its train yard and speculators bought up frontage & foreshore
