CN’s contaminated site along waterfront

How many years has this been on-going?

This was another letter to council that did not get discussed (see agenda package – large file)

Here to argue for New Era remedy to ‘contaminated sites’?

= WLAP in new era

That is the reason for the fence

What shall we do?

The New Era wants to sweep away ‘red tape’ in order to save $/ profits. So we will just change our definition of ‘Contaminated sites’. Then we will allow an ‘expert’ paid by the company to tell us the “risks” and what to do about it. ---- I can only read between the lines of the material sent PR City Council --- but looks like the Feds (Environment Canada, but also DFO)  don’t accept the New Era remedies at CN and a meeting Tuesday was to work out the differences – if possible
