The Oath of Office

Herb Pond’s third attempt to be PR’s mayor has now been achieved with the swearing in of all Council members Monday night

Posing for the Media after the meeting “photo op #1”

“photo op #2”—you’ll see this

Below is the full picture

Media Wants Mayor + Councilor

It will be interesting to see how much the “media” controls the agenda of new Council --- Herb’s charisma leads their expectations

High Expectations

Herb gave a long but thoughtful speech. He was able to shape some of it specifically towards the people in attendance. And in that ability to communicate is the chief (visible) change in the way City Hall works

PR Citizens packed the Chambers

Presumably most these people were friends and families of the Councilors. Almost every seat was taken and people were standing in the doorway.

A New City Hall??

Good to see Bob back after illness

Herb & staff – watch this one

An elected Herb Pond still promises an open & transparent city hall, but now he is qualifying that with a new awareness for “confidentiality”(Remember his “There are only 3 reasons for closed meetings”: land sales , personnel and privacy”.
The previous Council was content to do most of its business in “management meetings” which were closed to the public. We’ll see how this “open for business” council handles both transparency and staffing.
